Conor Benn has made it clear that he will be aiming for the WBC title in 2026, saying he will fight the winner of the title fight between Ryan Garcia and Mario Barrios.

Benn has fought two times in 2025, and both times above his usual limit of 160 lbs against his his long time rival Chris Eubank Jr.

Benn lost a hard-fought 12-round fight to Eubank in April 2025, with the latter using his size and experience to secure a majority decision. Both competitors spent the night in the hospital after the fight.

Then, in a rematch in November 2025, Benn outboxed Eubank Jr., delivering a clinical performance and displaying a fight many thought he didn't have in his locker.

Benn dominated the show, winning by unanimous decision at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, including two knockdowns in Round 12 to cap off a remarkable performance.

Speaking to Sky Sports Boxing, Conor Benn said that he will be targeting the winner of the WBC world title fight between Garcia and Barrios, which is scheduled to take place at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas on 21 February.

“I said I would be WBC champion, it was always a dream, so to be in touching distance and to be made mandatory for the world title, I’ll be there ringside, and it’ll be the winner. No doubt it’s Garcia, so Garcia Benn, I like the sound of that,” Benn said.

“I would love to do it in Vegas. I know the T Mobile Arena is on hold for Cinco de Mayo, but I feel I’ve got to bring it here to the UK for the supporters, Another stadium sounds good doesn’t it?”
