Tyson Fury has responded to the concerns over his physique ahead of his boxing comeback, saying he has always been on the heavier side.

Former world heavyweight champion Fury on Sunday announced his return to boxing, saying 2026 is his comeback year.

Fury announced his retirement following a defeat in a rematch with Oleksandr Usyk in December 2024.

The Ukrainian won the first fight as well by split decision to become the undisputed champion. Usyk is the only boxer who has defeated Fury in the Briton's professional career, which consists of 34 wins, two losses, and one draw.

Before he announced his return, Fury came into the limelight by sharing fresh training footage.

The fans filled the comment section quickly, criticising him over his bulky physique.

Now Fury has reacted to the concerns over his bulky physique in a video on social media, reminding fans he has always been on the heavier side.

He said: "Just doing a nice bit of chilling out before the second session of the day, working very hard for this return.

"The Gypsy King is not taking this lightly whatsoever.

"Read a few comments, [saying that] I'm looking a bit hench, tubby, fat. Welcome to my world. Never been any different. Beat everybody with a fat belly. Never been any different. Never made any odds before. Why should it make any odds today?”

Tyson Fury has recently hinted at a fight against Fabio Wardley after the WBO title holder said that he is ready to take on ‘The Gypsy King’.

Both Wardley and Fury appear to be interested in the all-British showdown, with each one confirming they are up for the clash.

The WBO heavyweight champion, speaking to Sky Sports yesterday, confirmed he is ready to face Fury in 2026.

Tyson responded to the Ipswich fan’s comments on social media today: "Let's see how I look and get on in my return".
