Benjamin Sesko believes that Manchester United is heading towards the right direction, despite a winless start to 2026.

United dropped more points against the second-bottom Premier League team, Burnley, on Wednesday following a 2-2 draw.

This was United’s first match under interim coach Darren Fletcher following the sacking of previous manager Ruben Amorim on Monday.

Sesko ended a nine-game goal drought in the match, scoring a brace.

"Definitely. I think in general we're a really great group,” Sesko said.

"We're doing everything to try prove ourselves every single time.

"We just have to keep going, keep pushing, because I think we're great and, yeah, I believe that great things are coming."

Sesko, who was struggling to make an impact since his move from RB Leipzig, after doubling his United tally at Turf Moor, said that it feels great after playing a good game.

"It feels great because we created great chances, especially with those two goals," Sesko said

"Great movements, great ball.

"With this kind of situation, we are showing what team we are, what we are capable of and, yeah, it's great for the future, obviously."

Reflecting on the result of the game, Sesko added that it feels obviously disappointing because we were playing well and created more chances.

"It feels obviously disappointing because I think we were fighting, we were giving our best, we were creating a lot of chances," he told MUTV.

"Basically, the ball was two times in the net, like over the line, but the opponent just took it out. We're creating good chances. Unfortunately, we received two goals.

"We still get a draw, which is important, but now it's just up to us to try to focus on the details and try to win the next game."
