Anthony Joshua’s promoter, Eddie Hearn, has provided a fresh update on the former after he was involved in a fatal car crash.
The update has emerged just days after a man claiming to be Joshua’s uncle said that the boxer has decided to bid farewell to the sport.
However, later the quotes were debunked by the Daily Mail, saying that the guy has no involvement in Joshua's career.
Meanwhile, Hearn, who had been the promoter of Joshua since he started professional boxing, has said that at the moment his man needs time and privacy.
“I think, to be honest, at this stage, it’s definitely a no comment from us. Just because of the respect to Anthony. Obviously with everything he’s been through with the tragic loss of Sina and Latz,” Hearn said.
“At the moment, Anthony needs time. Time and privacy. There will be no conversations from us about a career, any moves, what’s next.”
He added that Joshua would need time, physically and emotionally, so pray for all the parties involved.
“This is a terrible tragedy and Anthony’s going to need his own time, physically and emotionally,” he added.
“And at the moment, there’s nothing to discuss or say. Let’s give him his time and pray for him and, of course, all the families involved in this terrible incident.”
Anthony Joshua has recently lost his close friends Latif 'Latz' Ayodele and Sina Ghami and sustained minor injuries in a car crash in Nigeria on December 29, 2025.
The accident occurred when Joshua’s Lexus Jeep collided with a stationary truck on the Lagos–Ibadan Expressway.
Joshua was rushed to the hospital after the incident, where he received treatment and was discharged on December 31.
