HARARE: The Zimbabwe Cricket (ZC) on Friday announced a 15-member squad for the ICC Men's T20 World Cup 2026, scheduled to be co-hosted by India and Sri Lanka from February 7 to March 8.

Star all-rounder Sikandar Raza will lead the Chevrons in the 20-team tournament, with their contingent featuring only one change from that which participated in the T20I series against Sri Lanka and hosts Pakistan in November last year, as pacer Blessing Muzarabani returned after being sidelined due to a back injury.

Muzarabani replaced left-arm pacer Newman Nyamhuri, who was brought in as his replacement for the tri-series in Pakistan but could not get to play a single match.

"Continuity is a defining feature of the selection, with fit-again fast bowler Blessing Muzarabani the only addition to the squad that competed in the T20I triangular series in Pakistan in November, which also featured Sri Lanka," the ZC said in a statement.

"Muzarabani will spearhead the pace attack alongside left-arm seamer Richard Ngarava, with Bradley Evans and Tinotenda Maposa providing depth and flexibility to Zimbabwe’s seam-bowling options," the statement added.

The rest of the Zimbabwe squad remained the same that narrowly failed to qualify for the tri-series final, featuring experienced campaigners like Brendan Taylor and Graeme Cremer.

Zimbabwe, slotted in Group B, will start their T20 World Cup 2026 campaign against Oman at the Sinhalese Sports Club Ground in Colombo on February 9 before taking on Australia on February 13.

The Chevrons will then travel to Kandy, where they will lock horns with Ireland on February 17, while their last group-stage fixture is scheduled against Sri Lanka on February 19.

Zimbabwe squad: Sikandar Raza (c), Brian Bennett, Ryan Burl, Graeme Cremer, Bradley Evans, Clive Madande, Tinotenda Maposa, Tadiwanashe Marumani, Wellington Masakadza, Tony Munyonga, Tashinga Musekiwa, Blessing Muzarabani, Dion Myers, Richard Ngarava and Brendan Taylor.
