Trophy for ACC Men's U19 Asia Cup 2025 unveiled in Dubai

DUBAI: The glittering trophy for the ACC Men's U19 Asia Cup 2025 was unveiled here at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium on Thursday.

The silverware was unveiled by the captains of all participating teams – Pakistan, India, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Afghanistan, United Arab Emirates (UAE), Nepal and Malaysia, who also posed for photographs with the trophy.

The eight participating teams are divided into two groups of four, with Group A featuring Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Afghanistan and Nepal, while Group B comprises Pakistan, India, UAE and Nepal.

The continental tournament will get underway with a curtain raiser between India and UAE on Friday at the ICC Academy here, while Pakistan will lock horns with Malaysia simultaneously at The Sevens Stadium.

Hosts Afghanistan will start their campaign the following day when they take on Bangladesh at the ICC Academy here, while Sri Lanka will square up against Nepal at the same time at The Sevens Stadium.

Meanwhile, the blockbuster clash between fierce rivals Pakistan and India will be at the ICC Academy on Sunday.

Unlike the senior men's Asia Cup, which featured a Super Four stage, this edition will adopt a straight knockout format, with the top two teams from each group advancing directly into the semi-finals, scheduled to be played on December 19.

Consequently, fans could witness two possible Pakistan-India clashes — one in the group stage and potentially another in the final, which will be played at the ICC Academy here on December 21.
