New Zealand’s former cricketer Jock Edwards, who was best knowing for his batting abilities, has passed away at the age of 64, stuff.co.nz reported.

The news was broken by the Central Districts Cricket Association via a touching post on Facebook.

The late wicketkeeper-batsman represented the Kiwis in six Tests and eight ODIs during the 1970s and 80s and played 67 first-class matches along with 31 one-dayers for the Central Districts side.

Earlier this week, the co-founder of the Duckworth-Lewis-Stern (DLS) method, Tony Lewis, had also passed away at the age of 78.
