In a bid to curb the novel coronavirus pandemic, Bangladesh’s former ODI skipper Mashrafe Mortaza is providing free ambulance service to the people of his hometown Narail — Dhaka Tribute reported.

The veteran pacer, who is also a member of the Bangladeshi parliament, in a video message on Facebook, shared that the service will be provided on behalf of his charitable organisation, Narail Foundation.

"Narail Express Foundation will start temporary travel hospital from day after tomorrow [Monday]," he said.

"We will give essential food items as well and will be providing temporary medical assistance through this temporary hospital to the non-coronavirus-related patients, along with the corona affected patients."

Earlier, the bowler had also donated 500 medical-grade gowns and provided essential food items to around 1,200 people.
