The Pakistan Super League (PSL) franchises were reportedly unaware of the Pakistan Cricket Board's (PCB) agreement with a betting firm, Express News reported.

The PCB last month admitted that one of its broadcasting partners had struck the deal with a bookmaker that saw PSL 2020 matches gambled on from outside of Pakistan and countries where betting is legal.

While the board maintains that it is looking into the matter, the six franchises reportedly told the Urdu daily that they were not privy to the development.

Several former cricketers, including Javed Miandad and Rashid Latif, both of whom are vocal opponents of betting and all the comes with it, have demanded inquiries into the scandal.
