No pay cuts for players, employees for next three months: PCB
The PCB assures that its treasury is able to sustain its workforce for the next 12 to 14 months
The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has said that it has no plans of giving its centrally contracted players and employees pay cuts for the next three months amid the novel coronavirus pandemic, Daily Jang reported.
Despite other sporting bodies slashing salaries in a bid to stay afloat during the financial crisis, the PCB refused to follow suit and said that it will be paying remuneration in full during the 2019-2020 financial year.
The board’s Chief Executive Wasim Khan assured that the board’s treasury will be able to sustain the financial blow for the next 12 to 14 months.

However, players who receive their pay via cheque have been facing issues as courier services have been shut down due to the virus while the PCB offices remained closed.
It is pertinent to mention that there are about 220 professional cricketers on the PCB payroll.
