National bowling coach Waqar Younis on Friday took to Twitter to hail the efforts of doctors, nurses and medical officers for their commendable efforts as the country grapples with the coronavirus pandemic.
In a video message on the micro-blogging site, Younis, who is currently in self-isolation in Sydney", urged followers to support and appreciate the medical fraternity for their commendable efforts in this "war".
"It is great to see everyone working together in fighting the virus using medical precautions but it is important to appreciate those doctors, nurses and medical office who are the front fighters in this war," he said.
"It’s just like a war because sepoys fight on the front line with no care whatsoever and all the medical staff too are fighting on the front lines."
"It is very important to appreciate them and keep them motivated so that they push forward. Hopefully one day this virus will end."

It is pertinent to mention that the former captain’s wife Dr. Faryal Waqar is currently working in Sydney’s emergency rooms, helping patients battle the deadly pathogen.
