While the postponement of Tokyo Olympics Games 2020 till next year has came as a relief for some athletes, others who were looking to eagerly participate in the event and had worked their lives to do so might have been a little disappointed.

Pakistani athletes, too, may have had bittersweet feelings about the International Olympics Committee’s (IOC) decision. The national contingent, for the second straight Games, was to be a limited one as the hockey team had failed to qualify for the event.

It means that Pakistan’s slim hopes of a medal were pinned on athletes participating in individual events.

A day after the postponement of the Games, Geo Super has compiled a list of Pakistani athletes who have already sealed their berths at Olympics but will now have to wait another year for the realization of their lifelong dreams. The list will be updated as more athletes join the Tokyo-bound plane for next year.
