The Sri Lankan cricket board has contributed a sum of Rs25 million to help its government fight the novel coronavirus (COVID-19).
“Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) has taken a decision to grant a sum of LKR 25 million to the Government to help its efforts toward combating the Covid-19 pandemic, which has created a national health crisis,” the board announced on Monday.

While the SLC has made the hefty monetary contribution, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has made its Hanif Mohammad High Performance Centre in Karachi available as temporary living facility for paramedic staff treating the pandemic patients at the nearby Expo Centre.
