The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) plans on staging a full season of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2020 no matter what it takes, instead of a fitting a shortened version of the cash-rich tournament, Times of India has reported.

The Indian board, as per the publication, is fixated on staging a full 60- match tournament, adding that if the coronavirus pandemic fails to subside by April 15, then it will reschedule for a later date, possibly somewhere in the July-September window.

The report said that the BCCI would move the tournament to a new country if needed, and wouldn't mind staging the event even with limited rosters.

It is pertinent to mention here that apart from Pakistani and English players, most cricketers will have no assignments during the July-Sep window and could be available to take part in IPL.
