The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) all-rounder Hammad Azam has been added to the Peshawar Zalmi squad with immediate effect.

The announcement was made by the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) in a press release today.

Azam's inclusion has been approved by the event technical committee.

Zalmi have been hit the hardest by the withdrawal of foreign players after the PCB allowed anyone wanting to leave the tournament to do so.

Six of their players, Tom Banton, Liam Livingstone, Lewis Gregory, Liam Dawson, James Foster (coach) and Carlos Brathwaite, have decided to quit the tournament and fly back home.
