Junaid Khan shared a photo of himself with his mouth sealed with black tape, after being axed from Pakistan’s World Cup squad

Fast bowler Junaid Khan left his fans guessing when he tweeted a cryptic photo of himself with his mouth sealed shut with a black tape, hours after he was axed from Pakistan’s World Cup squad following a dismal show in the recent series against England.

The 29-year-old captioned the photo with an equally ambiguous message, but deleted the Twitter post later in the day as the social media erupted in a volley of speculation and gossip.

"I don't want to say anything. Truth is bitter (Sach karwa hotha hai)," he had written.

His tweet was even shared by the official Cricket World Cup Twitter account, but was deleted later from there after the pacer took down his post.

On Monday, Pakistan replaced Abid Ali and Junaid Khan with Asif Ali and Mohammad Amir, respectively, while Wahab Riaz was recalled to replace Faheem Ashraf.

Junaid was named in the preliminary World Cup squad ahead of the England ODI series, but was dropped after he failed to impress with the ball in the 4-0 drubbing.
