The anticipation for the India vs Pakistan showdown in the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 is already building as Netflix unveils the trailer for its upcoming documentary, The Greatest Rivalry: India vs Pakistan.

The highly awaited tournament begins on February 19, with the arch-rivals set to clash in Dubai on February 23.

Scheduled to premiere on February 7, 2025, the documentary promises an exclusive behind-the-scenes look at one of cricket’s most intense and historic rivalries.

It aims to provide never-before-seen insights into what transpires during an India vs Pakistan match, both on and off the field.

The trailer opens with visuals of packed stadiums, capturing the electrifying atmosphere of the rivalry.

Former Indian cricketer and one of the game's most explosive openers, Virender Sehwag, sets the tone by declaring, “It’s more than just a game.”

Pakistan legends Ramiz Raja, Waqar Younis, Shoaib Akhtar and Inzamam-ul-Haq, along with Indian greats Sourav Ganguly, Sunil Gavaskar and Shikhar Dhawan, share unheard stories from past high-stakes encounters between the two nations.

Netflix captioned the promo: “The biggest rivalry, told by the legends who lived it. Dive into a tale of passion, glory, and cricket’s fiercest rivalry in The Greatest Rivalry: India vs Pakistan, streaming from February 7, only on Netflix.”

The documentary is directed by Chandradev Bhagat and Stewart Sugg and produced by Grey Matter Entertainment.

Due to ongoing political tensions, India and Pakistan have not played a bilateral series since 2012. As a result, India has refused to travel to Pakistan for the ICC Champions Trophy 2025, citing security concerns.

To accommodate this, the tournament will follow the PCB’s proposed fusion formula, ensuring that India and Pakistan do not play matches at each other’s venues for at least three years.

Under this arrangement, India will play all its Champions Trophy 2025 matches in Dubai, while Pakistan is expected to play its 2026 T20 World Cup matches in Sri Lanka.
