Former Indian cricketer Harbhajan Singh made his predictions for the semifinals of the upcoming Champions Trophy 2025, which is scheduled to take place in Pakistan and the UAE later this year.

During a recent interview, the spinner confidently named four teams that he believes will reach the semifinals of the prestigious tournament.

When asked to pick the top contenders, Harbhajan was quick to name Australia, India, hosts Pakistan and New Zealand.

"Australia and India. But you cannot rule out Pakistan from such competitions, and also New Zealand. So these will be the four semifinalists, according to me," he stated.

Interestingly, his predictions include three teams from the same group, as Pakistan, India, and New Zealand are all placed in Group A, while Australia is in Group B.

It is pertinent to mention that the eight-team tournament, comprised of 15 matches, will run from February 19 to March 9, across three venues – Karachi, Lahore and Rawalpindi – in Pakistan and Dubai.

The teams are divided into two groups. Group A features Pakistan, India, New Zealand, Bangladesh, while Group B is comprised of Afghanistan, South Africa, England and Australia.

Hosts Pakistan will take on New Zealand in the curtain raiser on February 19 in Karachi, while the blockbuster clash between arch-rivals Pakistan and India is scheduled for February 23 in Dubai.

Pakistan will host a total of 10 matches in their country, while four matches, including all three of India's group-stage matches and the first semi-final, will be played in Dubai.
