MULTAN: Pakistan’s squad took part in an intense training session here at the Multan Cricket Stadium on Wednesday, ahead of the second Test of the two-match series against West Indies, scheduled to run from January 25 to 29.
According to the details, the national squad underwent an all-round training session, honing their batting, bowling and fielding skills.
Pakistan are aiming to register their first clean sweep victory at home since their 2-0 victory over South Africa in 2021.
Notably, the green shirts are on a three-match winning streak at home, with the 127-run victory over West Indies being their most recent triumph at home in the longest format.
In the one-sided series opener at the same venue, Pakistan’s spin-laden bowling unit barred West Indies from chasing down a 251-run target by dismissing the touring side for a meagre 123 in the second innings.
Leading the way for Pakistan in the second innings was mystery spinner Abrar Ahmed, who bagged a five-wicket haul.
He was supported by right-arm spinner Sajid Khan, who took four wickets to round up match-winning bowling figures of 9/115, which earned him the Player of the Match award.
Left-arm spinner Noman Ali also chipped in by taking six wickets in the fixture, which culminated inside three days.
