KARACHI: Pakistan’s ace pacer Shaheen Shah Afridi, all-rounder Shadab Khan and England’s hard-hitting top-order batter Phil Salt replicated the World Wrestling Entertainment’s (WWE) renowned faction The Shield’s iconic fist bump in men’s Champions Trophy 2025 promo.

Taking to its social media handles, the apex cricketing body shared a reel, featuring the trio donning an all-black attire, including gloves, and performing The Shield’s iconic fist bump.

“The newest faction. Believe in the Field,” the ICC captioned the reel.

The Champions Trophy 2025 promo quickly went viral on social media and drew massive attention from cricket fans, who humorously referred Salt as Dean Ambrose, Shaheen as Roman Reigns and Shadab as Seth Rollins.
