MULTAN: West Indies’ squad took part in a robust training session here at the Multan Cricket Stadium on Tuesday, ahead of the second Test of the two-match series against Pakistan, scheduled to run from January 25 to 29.

According to the details, the touring side’s players practised in the nets at full potential and also participated in several fielding drills, which included catching practice.

The visitors aim to bounce back in the second Test after succumbing to a gruelling 127-run defeat in the series opener at the same venue on Sunday.

Chasing a 251-run target, West Indies were bowled out for a meagre 123 as none of their batters could excel against Pakistan’s spin-laden bowling attack.

Leading the way for Pakistan in the second innings was right-arm spinner Sajid Khan, who took four wickets to round up a match-winning bowling figures of 9/115, which earned him the player of the match award.

Left-arm spinner Noman Ali and wrist spinner Abrar Ahmed played a supporting role as they picked up six and seven wickets respectively across the innings.
