The hapless Lahore Qalandars suffered another setback on Friday when their ace pacer Haris Rauf was ruled out for two to three matches of the ongoing Pakistan Super League (PSL) 200 due to a foot injury.

According to the Pakistan Cricket Board, Rauf experienced pain on the inner side of his right heel after Lahore Qalandars' match against Islamabad United at the Gaddafi Stadium last Sunday.

"Though his scans ruled out any fracture, there certainly is a stress reaction. Therefore, he has been advised rest," the PCB said in a statement.

The Qalandars have included fast bowler Salman Irshad in the squad as the replacement for Rauf.

Salman, who had last represented the side in 2018's edition, hails from Azad Kashmir and is a product of the Qalandars' Development Program, PSL which Rauf also emerged from.

Meanwhile, Qalandars management has said that Rauf's rehabilitation will be the team’s top priority.

The injury comes as a major blow to the Qalandars who have lost both their first two games and sit at the bottom of the PSL 2020 points table.
