Former cricketer Tanvir Ahmed on Tuesday criticised Lahore Qalandars’ Haris Rauf following the side’s defeat against Islamabad United at Lahore’s Gaddafi Stadium last Sunday.

The former bowler, on his YouTube channel, said that Rauf had disappointed him greatly as his PSL performance are not at par with his Big Bash League (BBL) feats.

Tanvir further said that the 26-year-old Rauf should have been able to take the final wicket for his side against United.

"The match against Islamabad should not have resulted in a loss. Rauf had established himself as an untouchable and unplayable bowler in the BBL. He was bowling brilliantly but here he could not take the final wicket," he said.

"If a player like him, after gaining all that experience, makes the same mistakes than what is the use of sending him for international exposure?"
