Lahore Qalandars’ Mohammad Hafeez on Tuesday defended the fans' right to criticise the franchise following their second straight defeat of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) at the weekend.

"We have a huge and dedicated fan following and they have the right to scrutinise us when our side under performs," he said.

"We are looking to improve our game and win the hearts of fans with our performances."

The all-rounder admitted that the Qalandar's last match, which ended in a painful one-wicket defeat to Islamabad United, saw a handful of mistakes.

"We should have made better decisions in our last match against United and there were a lot of mistakes from our side. There were a lot of missed opportunities that we did not capitalise from," he admitted.

However, Hafeez remained optimistic over the Qalandars' ability to turn things around.

"[Despite the defeats] our players have performed well and we hope to continue with this momentum," he said.
