PSL 2020: The PCB aim to make cricket reachable to wider audiences

Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Chairman Ehsan Mani on Wednesday said that the board is looking to host some of next year's Pakistan Super League (PSL) matches in Peshawar, reported Cricket Pakistan.

Mani, in a press conference in Karachi, revealed that the city’s Arbab Niaz Stadium was undergoing renovations. 

"We are hoping to hold some PSL matches in Peshawar next year,"’ Mani said. 

"Hopefully the renovation work of the stadium in Peshawar will be done soon.”

Meanwhile, Quetta Gladiators’s owner Nadeem Omer voiced his interest in seeing some matches being staged in his franchise's city.

"Just like PCB has announced that they are trying to host PSL matches in Peshawar next year, we will also like to request the board to consider Bugti Stadium in Quetta for hosting some matches," Omer said.

The PSL 2020 is set to begin on Thursday at Karachi's National Stadium.
