Pakistan Champions will face South Africa Champions in the 13th match of the ongoing World Championship of Legends (WCL) 2024 at the County Ground in Northampton on Tuesday.
Pakistan, led by Younis Khan, have been on fire in the ongoing tournament as they have won all four of their matches including thrilling wins over Australia and India and is the first team to qualify for the semi-final with eight points.
They started their tournament on a high note as they beat Australia by chasing the 190-run target. In their second match, they posted a 195-run target and managed to defend it successfully against West Indies.
In their next two matches, Pakistan defeated India by 68 runs and then hosts England by 79 runs. The outing against South Africa will be Pakistan’s last before the semi-final.
On the other hand, nothing has gone right for South Africa in WCL 2024 as the Proteas lost all three of their matches and are out of the tournament.
The Proteas have, so far, lost to England, Australia and West Indies and a loss against Pakistan tomorrow would officially eliminate them from the race to the semi-final.
After playing against Pakistan, South Africa will face India, which is likely to be their last match of the tournament.
The World Championship of Legends, approved by the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB), began on July 4 and will continue till July 18.
