Pakistan and India are set to lock horns in one of the most anticipated matches of the T20 World Cup 2024 at the Nassau County International Cricket Stadium in New York on Sunday.

There will be eyes on India’s skipper Rohit Sharma, who scored a half-century against Ireland in their first match of the T20 World Cup and cruised the Blues to victory.

Sharma will be facing Pakistani pacers once again after last meeting them in a T20I match in T20 World Cup 2022 in Melbourne where Virat Kohli played one of the best knocks in the tournament’s history to win the match for India.

As the match between the arch-rivals nears, let us take a look at Sharma’s record against three Pakistani pacers — Mohammad Amir, Haris Rauf and Shaheen Afridi.

Rohit Sharma against Pakistani pacers

Against Mohammad Amir: 7 balls played, 1 run scored and out twice.

Against Shaheen Afridi: 6 balls played, four runs scored and out once.

Against Haris Rauf: 13 balls played, 12 runs scored, out twice.

The match between Pakistan and India is set to start at 8:20PM PST with a delay as the rain in New York made it impossible for the match to start in time.
