Pakistan fast bowler Naseem Shah on Sunday claimed a hat-trick in the second innings of the first Test against Bangladesh at the Rawalpindi Stadium.
Naseem took the wickets of Najmul Hossain Shanto, Taijul Islam and Mahmudullah on consecutive balls of the 41st over.
Naseem, just 16 years and 359 days old, trapped Shanto and Islam lbw in front of the wickets before having Mahmudullah caught.
He broke the world record of compatriot Abdul Razzaq, who was 20 when he had claimed his hat-trick in June 2000 against Sri Lanka.
Naseem's flurry of wickets today left Bangladesh reeling at 124-5 and in need of a miracle to save the Test.
He had also taken a five-for in his last Test against Sri Lanka, which had made him the youngest cricketer to ever achieve the feat.
