The 2024 Indian Premier League (IPL) concluded with Kolkata Knight Riders beating Sunrisers Hyderabad by eight wickets in the final at Chennai's M.A Chidambaram Stadium on Sunday. 

Some of the players were brilliant throughout the tournament and played a key role in their side's win.

Abhishek Sharma (Sunrisers Hyderabad)

Abhishek demonstrated his flexibility as a talented all-round player. With the bat, he helped his side score 484 runs with an astounding average of 32.26 and a remarkable strike rate of 204.21. His team was able to accelerate the run rate and stabilise the innings when necessary thanks to his aggressive hitting approach, which was especially helpful in the later innings.

Sunil Narine (Kolkata Knight Riders)

Narine displayed a strong batting performance in the IPL 2024. He made 16 appearances and scored 488 runs overall. With an impressive strike rate of 180.74, he had a batting average of 34.85. Throughout the season, Narine scored 109 runs at his highest, along with one century and three half-centuries. He also hit 33 sixes and 50 fours.

India's batting legend Virat Kohli kept keeps pushing the boundaries of batting brilliance. His performances have been nothing short of legendary, with an incredible 741 runs in 15 matches, including a stunning average of 61.75 and a formidable strike rate of 154.69. His ability to anchor innings or accelerate when necessary, combined with his unwavering consistency, makes him the prototypical number three and the main factor in his team's success.

He was a key player in the team's campaign because of his wise leadership on the pitch and his capacity to play through pressure. Unfortunately, he couldn't take his side in the final as they lost to Hyderabad in Qualifier 2.

Riyan Parag (Rajasthan Royals)

Riyan Parag emerged as the best batter for Rajasthan in IPL 2024. The franchise has been keeping him since 2018 as a hitter in the late middle-order, however, he was given chances at the top-order this time.

Parag’s multifaceted contributions as an all-rounder have been instrumental in RR’s campaign in IPL 2024. Parag gave batting line a depth with his strike-rotation and power-hitting. His 573 runs highlight significant contribution in the batting department.

The foundation of Rajasthan's batting lineup in IPL 2024 has been Sanju Samson, the team's dynamic captain and wicketkeeper. Samson's remarkable stints is highlighted by his 531 runs in 16 games at an incredible average of 48.27 and a scorching strike rate of 153.46.

Nicholas Pooran (Lucknow Super Giants)

Nicholas Pooran stood out for LSG the middle order, displaying his skill as a hard hitter. With a scorching strike rate of 178.21 and 499 runs in 14 games, Pooran is a dangerous player who can destroy bowling attacks with his rapid strokeplay. In pivotal situations, his ability to hit huge sixes and swing the momentum of the game in his team's favour makes him a game-changer.

Andre Russell (Kolkata Knight Riders)

Russell is a formidable player for KKR in the 2024 Indian Premier League thanks to his explosive hitting and sharp bowling. Russell is a game-changer in every sense of the word because of his ability to swing the tide of the match with his explosive batting and aptitude for taking big wickets. His 13 matches with 222 runs and 15 wickets demonstrate his importance as an all-rounder and his vital role in turning the team's fortunes.

Harshal Patel (Punjab Kings)

Patel is the top wicket-taker in the IPL 2024 thanks to his ability to capture vital wickets and perform well under duress. T Natarajan ended up as the best bowler for SRH where he picked 19 wickets in 14 games. With economy rate of 9.05. he took wickets at a strike rate of 16.21.
