Australian batting allrounder Glenn Maxwell on Tuesday said that short-pitched bowling no longer fazed him as he has addressed the problem, reported ESPN Cricinfo.

"I think I’ve shown during this Big Bash League (BBL) that there's not as much anxiety as it doesn’t really faze me that much at the moment," he said.

"But it was probably something I did need to address, and when you have so much scrutiny it can be quite wearing on you."

Meanwhile, Cricket Australia on Tuesday announced Maxwell’s inclusion in the T20I and ODI squads for the upcoming series against South Africa.

The 31-year-old revealed that he would be making more calculated decisions heading into the series.

"I just feel like I'm a bit better at being able to deal with it, choosing which ones to score off and which ones to play, and that does come back to being a bit more still and being able to make a more calculated decision at the crease."

Australia and South Africa will be facing each other in three T20Is and as many in ODIs with the first clash on February 21.
