The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) shared footage of the players currently taking part in a fitness camp in Kakul, Abbottabad, on Thursday.

Pakistan players underwent training and gym exercises at the Army School of Physical Training (ASPT).

Earlier, the PCB Monday announced that 29 players will be part of the camp.

After taking back retirement recently, all-rounder Imad Wasim and pacer Mohammad Amir have been called up. Meanwhile, batter Usman Khan, one of the top performers of PSL 9, has also been included.

The camp will conclude on April 8.

“The camp, organised in collaboration with the Pakistan Army, is strategically designed to prepare the players for the upcoming series and tournaments, including the home T20I series against New Zealand, the away T20I series against Ireland and England, and the forthcoming ICC T20 World Cup in USA and West Indies,” the PCB said in a press release.

“The camp will focus on team building and aims to enhance the physical and mental strength of the players, ensuring they are in the best condition to face the challenges ahead.

“Under the guidance of experienced trainers and coaches, the players will undergo a comprehensive training regime tailored to elevate their fitness levels, agility, leadership and strategic thinking and overall performance on the field.”

It must be noted that Pakistan team is currently without a coaching staff but PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi on Sunday stated that the management was working on it. He said that the PCB was making a proper panel for the coaches which is in the final stages.
