Ali Azmat's PSL 5 anthem 'Tayyar Hain' fails to sway the crowd

As the fifth edition of Pakistan Super League gets ready to roll out, the official anthem of this year has the town talking. However, not in the best of ways.

Soon after the anthem was launched — featuring vocals by Ali Azmat, Haroon Rashid, Asim Azhar and Arif Lohar — cricket enthusiasts turned to social media and therein began an incessant comparison of the freshly-dropped track to the anthems released in the prior editions.

Titled Tayyar Hain, the song opened to mixed reviews with a majority of social media users expressing discontent over the anthem not being able to match the brilliance of Ali Zafar’s previously performed Abb Khel Jamay Ga.
