Pandya is making his captaincy debut for Mumbai Indians
With all eyes on Hardik Pandya and Rohit Sharma on Sunday evening when Mumbai Indians took on Gujarat Titans in an IPL 2024 game in Ahmedabad, the two MI stars just could not hide.
There were instances when fans saw Hardik taking advice from the former MI skipper, there was one instance that did not go down well with fans.
The incident took place in the final over of the innings when Gerald Coetzee was bowling. Hardik asked Rohit to go back to the boundary which left the 36-year-old surprised.

Earlier during the toss, when Pandya's name was announced by Ravi Shastri, the star all-rounder was greeted with boos by the crowd present inside the stadium.
Remember, he returned to his former home ground as the captain of the Mumbai Indians. Pandya began his Mumbai Indians captaincy against Gujarat Titans, a team that the star all-rounder himself marshalled over the last two seasons, in the IPL.
The tournament also marks Pandya's comeback from a 'freak' ankle injury he picked up in the middle of the ODI World Cup in October.
The form of the injury-prone all-rounder with both bat and ball will be closely tracked in the tournament that precedes the T20 World Cup in the USA and Caribbean.
