Dana White imposed a lifetime ban on British MMA star Paul Daley following an egregious incident inside the renowned Octagon. The UFC chief is notorious for his uncompromising approach to cutting fighters from his promotion.

In 2009, White signed Paul Daley to the UFC, but the welterweight contender's tenure with the MMA giants lasted only three fights.

Daley arrived at the promotion after competing in various organisations such as Pancrase, Cage Warriors, Cage Rage, Elite XC, and Strikeforce.

Making a significant impact on his UFC debut, Daley replaced Mike Swick to take on seasoned contender Martin Kampmann. He swiftly defeated the Danish fighter in the first round, showcasing his formidable power.

Following this, 'Semtex' secured an explosive knockout victory over Dustin Hazelett, setting the stage for a title eliminator against Josh Koscheck.

Daley and Koscheck engaged in a heated war of words leading up to their UFC 113 showdown. However, Daley fell short against the American's superior wrestling, losing via a unanimous decision.

In a regrettable moment, Daley inexplicably sucker-punched Koscheck after the final bell, an act condemned as "terrible" by Joe Rogan.

White promptly released Daley from the UFC and imposed a lifetime ban, a decision he upheld without reconsideration.

"I don’t care if (Daley) fights in every show all over the world and becomes the best, and everybody thinks he is the pound-for-pound best in the world. he will never fight in the UFC again," he explained.

Subsequently, Daley competed in various MMA promotions, securing victories against notable opponents such as Jorge Masvidal, Scott Smith, Brennan Ward, and Lorenz Larkin.

He also contested for the Strikeforce welterweight title against Nick Diaz and engaged in a highly anticipated all-British showdown with Michael 'Venom' Page in Bellator.
