Azhar Ali’s 75-year-old dad is probably fitter than the son

Pakistan’s Test captain Azhar Ali may or may not be one of the fittest cricketers around but his dad certainly looks like the fittest septuagenarian there is.

On Azhar Ali Sr’s 75th birthday, the junior shared a video of the entire Azhar clan, complete with sons and grandsons, running at Model Town Park.

“Abu (dad) celebrating his 75th birthday with whole family, running with his sons and grandsons at Model Town Park, where he runs everyday,” the Pakistan skipper tweeted, adding in another tweet that “his commitment and love for sports and specially running is exemplary.”

The evidence above raises the question why Azhar Jr’s personal fitness has always looked bang average instead of standing out from the rest when his old man was such an inspiration.
