Pakistan star batter Babar Azam finished his 2024 Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) campaign as the highest run-getter.
The 29-year-old, who represented Rangpur Riders, played for the final time in the competition. He scored 43-ball 47 which helped his side to post 175/4 against Durdanto Dhaka.
In six innings, Babar scored 251 runs at an average of 50.20. With the help of two fifties, he batted with a strike-rate of 114.61.

It must be noted that Babar and other Pakistan players coming back from Bangladesh as they were issued NoCs till February 6. They will now prepare for the Pakistan Super League (PSL) season nine.
Meanwhile, players engaged in UAE's ILT20 have also come back. Only Imad Wasim and Mohammad Amir are playing since they have retired.
The ninth season of PSL is set to commence on February 17, 2024, at the PCB’s headquarters in Lahore.
The opening match will feature the two-time champions and current titleholders, Lahore Qalandars, facing off against Islamabad United, winners of the 2016 and 2018 editions.
This premier cricketing event will be played across four cities — Karachi, Lahore, Multan, and Rawalpindi — culminating in the final at the National Bank Stadium in Karachi on March 18. The tournament, featuring six teams, will consist of 34 T20 matches.
