Michael Chandler opened up ahead of his rumoured encounter with Conor McGregor at UFC 300 and revealed the Irishman’s biggest weakness.

Chandler and McGregor spent the better part of last year having off-field bouts with one another.

The two were supposed to have a grand fight at UFC 296 but that couldn’t happen as the Notorious failed to meet UFC’s policy of six months of mandatory drug testing after which UFC boss announced Leon Edwards vs Colby Covington will headline the final UFC show of the year.

However, it seems like the two will finally get to play one another this year and Chandler has already identified the Notorious’ weaknesses which he would be looking to exploit.

“You guys know my fight style. Conor McGregor is a quitter, especially when the pressure gets to him. Look at the Khabib fight, you look at the Nate Diaz fight, the Dustin Poirier fight. I mean, when he gets pressure put on him,” Chandler said during an interview with Bussin’ With The Boys.

“The guy who thinks he’s the alpha dog doesn’t like the pressure, because ultimately, it’s just one big facade of trying to make sure that the entire world doesn’t out him and doesn’t see the real him,” he added.

Remember, McGregor lost three of his last four fights. Including back-to-back defeats against Poirier at UFC 257 and 264 and a famous submission defeat against the undefeated UFC star Khabib Nurmagomedov at UFC 229 on October 7, 2018.

The last time the Irishman was in the octagon was during his fight against Dustin Poirier after which he spent almost two years out of action following a nasty leg break at UFC 264 in July 2021.

While both McGregor and Chandler are gearing up fight at UFC 300, UFC Boss, Dana White has other plans as he is yet to announce when and where the two will compete.
