Indian captain Rohit Sharma made history with his appearance in the second match against Afghanistan, becoming the first men's cricketer to play 150 T20Is on Sunday.
After being absent from the shortest format of the international game for 14 months, Rohit returned to the team during the first T20I in Mohali, where he also captained the side.
In the first T20I, Rohit set a world record by becoming the first player to be part of 100 wins in T20Is.
He holds the record for the most appearances in the shortest format of the game, with Ireland's Paul Stirling following closely behind with 134 matches in his career. Stirling's Ireland teammate, George Dockrell, is third on the list with 128 matches.
In terms of appearances for India in T20Is, Rohit leads with 150 matches, followed by Virat Kohli with 116 matches. Kohli is also making his return to the T20I side after a 14-month hiatus.
Rohit Sharma's illustrious T20I career includes being one of the world's best in the format. Making his T20I debut during India's victorious 2007 World Cup campaign in South Africa, the Indian opener shares the record for the most centuries in the format with four.
Rohit also holds the record for hitting the most sixes in T20Is, with 182 to his name. He ranks second on the list for the most runs scored in the format, with 3853 runs. Only Kohli surpasses Rohit on the run-scoring list.
