Kevin Durant achieved a milestone by moving to 10th place on the NBA all-time scoring list, surpassing Moses Malone.

The 35-year-old scored 30 points in the game, bringing his career total to 27,423 points. Despite Durant's individual success, the Phoenix Suns suffered a 119-111 defeat against the Denver Nuggets.

Nikola Jokic played a pivotal role for Denver, contributing 21 points and 16 assists, while all five starters scored at least 15 points. In other NBA action, the Orlando Magic secured a franchise-record-tying ninth straight win by defeating the Washington Wizards 130-125. German forward Franz Wagner led the way with 31 points, supported by Paolo Banchero's 28 points.

The Dallas Mavericks, without Luka Doncic due to the birth of his daughter, faced a 108-94 loss at home against the Memphis Grizzlies, with Desmond Bane scoring 30 points.

The reigning NBA Most Valuable Player Joel Embiid was absent as the Philadelphia 76ers fell 125-119 to the Boston Celtics, who saw Jayson Tatum ejected in the third quarter for a second technical foul.

In other Friday games, the New York Knicks secured a 119-106 victory over the Toronto Raptors, while the San Antonio Spurs continued their struggle with a 14th consecutive defeat, losing 121-106 to the New Orleans Pelicans. The Spurs' number one draft pick, Victor Wembanyama, missed a game for the first time this season due to a tight right hip.
