Jude Bellingham stood up once again as an injury-riddled Real Madrid cruised past the Italian side Napoli 4-2 at the Santiago Bernabeu to continue their winning streak in the UEFA Champions League (UCL) 2023/24 season.

Bellingham was signed by the Whites for a record €103m fee and the 20-year-old has been justifying the massive tag ever since making his debut with the 14-time Champions League winners.

During Madrid’s 4-2 win over Napoli, the midfielder scored a header after making a fantastic run in the box and provided an assist to the struggling striker Joselu as the match was about to conclude.

With his goal in the 22nd minute, Bellingham created multiple records and that comes as no surprise as this is what he has been doing since putting on the Royal White jersey for the first time.

Bellingham became the first English player to score 10 Champions League goals before turning 21. The midfielder can easily extend his goal tally as he just turned 20 years old in June this year and he is guaranteed to play at least three more matches in UCL.

Not just that, he also became the first and only Real Madrid to find the back of the net in the first four UCL matches. He scored against Union Berlin, Napoli away, Braga and Napoli at home.

Bellingham netted his 15th goal of the season and overtook his last season’s goal tally with his former club Borussia Dortmund where the midfielder scored 14 goals. There are still seven months of club football left to play and one can only imagine how many goals are on the cards for the 20-year-old.

With the form he is in and the level he has maintained, the English international remains the undisputed favourite for the Ballon d’Or next year.

Earlier this week, Bellingham scored his 14th goal of the season and broke Cristiano Ronaldo’s record of scoring the most goals for Real Madrid in the first 15 matches.

It must be noted that Bellingham was on the radar of many top clubs during the transfer window with Man City, Real Madrid and Liverpool going head-to-head to get the 20-year-old's signature. In the end, the English footballer preferred Real Madrid — the club of his dreams.
