Pakistani right-handed batter Babar Azam started practicing with the red ball in the nets as the Green Shirts prepare for the three-match Test series against Australia starting next month.

Babar, 29, stepped down from captaincy across all formats after Pakistan's abysmal display in the recently-concluded ICC World Cup 2023 where the Men in Green lost five matches for the first time in their history.

He was included in the 18-man squad announced by the newly-appointed chief selector Wahab Riaz on Sunday and the 29-year-old wasted no time in getting back to the nets to prepare for the Test series on tricky Australian tracks.

The former skipper was seen playing multiple shots in the video but the ones he played the most was his favourite "cover drive", a shot he has mastered the art of.
