Travis Head, on the other hand, will be the second opener of the side. Although he missed the initial phase of the tournament, but the impact he created later in the tournament was outstanding. Head was the Player of the Match in the semi-final as well as in the final.

3- Quinton de Kock

South African wicketkeeper batter, Quinton de Kock will have the wicket-keeping responsibility in this lineup. The left-hander struck four centuries in the event and inflicted 20 dismissals (most in the tournament) behind the wicket. His consistency played a key role for the South African side in their 2023 World Cup campaign.

In at five would be the New Zealand batter, Daryl Mitchell. With two half-centuries and as many centuries, Daryl Mitchell was highly consistent with the bat in this World Cup. Both of his centuries came against the strong bowling unit of India.

7- Ravindra Jadeja

Ravindra Jadeja proved instrumental with his all-round prowess, significantly contributing to his team's equilibrium. While he didn't secure any centuries or fifties with the bat, his 120 runs at an average of 40.00 and a strike rate of 101.69 were pivotal. His standout performance was highlighted by a five-wicket haul, recording his best figures at 5-33. 8- Pat Cummins (C)

Pat Cummins became the 5th World Cup-winning captain of Australia. His numbers might not tell how good he actually was in the World Cup 2023. His game plans, his field setups and his overall mindset was tremendous in this World Cup. His decision to opt for bowling in the World Cup final surprised many, but he proved it right by restricting India to a low total and then leading Australia to a 6th World Cup win.

12th Man - Kuldeep Yadav

Left-arm wrist spinner, Kuldeep Yadav makes it to the team of the tournament as 12th Man. Kuldeep was brilliant in some phases of the event. His variety was quite difficult to read for the batters and on some surfaces, he was a really tricky bowler to bat against.
