Pakistan wicketkeeper-batter Mohamamd Haris, who is part of the World Cup 2023 squad as a travelling reserve, has revealed his chats with renowned cricketers during the ongoing competition.

The 22-year-old disclosed his communication with Indian star batter Virat Kohli, wicketkeeper KL Rahul and South Africa's Quinton de Kock.

In a video released by the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), all three travelling reserves, Zaman Khan, Mohammad Haris and Abrar Ahmed talked about their experiences in India.

"I talked to Virat bhai and asked him about how to build innings. I lack temperament and asked being that being a batter what could I do," Haris said.

"I also chatted to Quinton de Kock and KL Rahul about wicketkeeping and fitness. I will look to apply and practice," he added.

Meanwhile, Zaman stressed learning a lot by being part of the group. "We took part in training and did the same thing that the actual squad did."

On the other hand, spinner Abrar Ahmed said he talked to mystery spinners similar to him.

"We saw superstars of the game, their game awareness and how they are taking their team along during the game. Some pitches in India favour batters and some bowlers," Abrar said.

"I also talked to the bowlers similar to me. I chatted with Mujeeb-ur-Rehman and Maheesh Theekshana and they gave me different insights," he added.

It must be noted that Pakistan will play their last league game on November 11 against England at Eden Gardens.

Meanwhile, New Zealand is currently playing Sri Lanka. As things stand, the Black Caps seem to be in a dominating position to qualify and they are closely followed by Pakistan while Afghanistan's position is the weakest courtesy of their negative net run rate (NRR).

A win tonight would all but confirm Kane Williamson's men's place in the knockout stage.
