Real Madrid’s bad luck with injuries continue as the new-signing Arda Guler suffered a new muscle injury during a training session on Wednesday, confirmed the club in a press release.

“After the tests carried out on our player Arda Guler by the Real Madrid Medical Services, he has been diagnosed with an injury to the left rectus femoris muscle. Evolution pending,” said the club in a brief statement.

As per the Spanish journalist, Jose Luis Sanchez, who is close to the club, Guler will be out for at least a month as he got injured in the last play of today’s training.

Just two hours ago, in a press conference, Madrid's head coach Carlo Ancelotti confirmed that the Turk is training and will soon be back on the pitch.

Guler is yet to play a game as he tore his meniscus in a training session during the Whites' pre-season tour to the United States in July, and underwent knee arthroscopy in August.

Madrid are living an injury nightmare this season. Just four days ago, their captain and right-back Dani Carvajal was ruled out for ten days following a muscle injury he picked during the Whites’ encounter against Real Sociedad eight days ago.

Other than Carvajal, their first-choice goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois and centre-back Eder Militao have been ruled out till April after tearing their Anterior Cruciate Ligament (ACL).

Vinicius Junior also tore his hamstring in the 13th minute of the match against Celta Vigo in August and was ruled out for six weeks.

However, the Brazilian footballer recovered miraculously in just a month and may be back on the field, when Los Blancos will take on Las Palmas at the Santiago Bernabeu on Wednesday.

Midfielder Dani Ceballos has not featured in a match as well. He, just like Guler, got injured during Madrid’s pre-season tour to the US.

Despite a squad filled with injuries to key players, Madrid have done quite well and has only lost one match this season.

They have won 5/6 matches in the league and also started their UCL campaign with a 1-0 win over Union Berlin last week.

Los Blancos suffered their first loss of the season against Atletico Madrid 3-1 at the Wanda Metropolitano on the weekend.
