Former WWE Champion and one of the greatest wrestlers of all time, John Cena is set to make his return to World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) next month, reported Fox Sports on Monday.
The 16-time World Champion last stepped inside the ring in April at WrestleMania 39 where he challenged Austin Theory for the United States Championship.
Although Cena dominated the fight but he ended up losing after receiving a low blow.
The 46-year-old most recently appeared in the Money in the Bank last month at The O2 Arena, London.
Cena spoke passionately about how WWE should bring this culture in Europe and bring WrestleMania there but he was interrupted by Grayson Waller who was given "Attitude Adjustment" by Cena to end the segment.
The report further adds that Cena will appear on the September 1 episode of SmackDown from The Giant Centre in Hershey, Pennsylvania.
It is also mentioned in the report that the WWE icon will go all the way to India for the upcoming WWE Superstar Spectacle show at the GMC Balayogi Indoor Stadium on Friday, September 8th.
The event will be the first in India since 2017 and will also be the first-ever live WWE live event in Hyderabad but the show will not be televised in the United States.
However, despite all this, what WWE has planned for him cannot be said as it would be too early.
