The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) will reportedly pay Misbahul Haq a whopping Rs2.8 million every month for performing the dual role of the national team's head coach and chief selector.

Misbah had reportedly wanted to be paid just as much as his predecessor, Mickey Arthur but the PCB had initially shown a reluctance to do so.

However, it appears that the Mianwali-born was granted his wish, as according to Geo News reporter Abdul Majid Bhatti.

Misbah, if the report is to be believed, stands to earn Rs33.6m (3 crore 36 lacs) annually and an eye-watering 100.8m (10 crore and 8 lacs) over the course of his three-year contract.

The former Pakistan captain also stands to earn more through the Pakistan Super League, where he is expected to become the new head coach of two-time champions Islamabad United.
