The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has requested Emirates Cricket Board (ECB) to reschedule International League T20 (ILT20) due to its clash with Pakistan Super League (PSL) schedule next year.

According to the reports, the PSL's window has been kept between February 12 to March 10 next year. However, ILT20 is likely to be played from January 13 to February 12.

PCB wants to accommodate national players for ILT20, hence rescheduling was requested by the high-ups.

Earlier, reports said that PCB's current set-up is interested in sending players to the cash-rich league.

Pakistani players including Babar Azam, Shaheen Shah Afridi and Mohammad Rizwan were offered a whopping USD 900,000 alongside a three-year captaincy contract before the inaugural edition of ILT20. However, then-PCB chairman Ramiz Raja wasn't interested in sending the players to ILT20. Instead, he asked compensation from the ECB in exchange for releasing their players.

Apart from Babar, Shaheen, and Rizwan, Fakhar Zaman and Mohammad Hasnain were also in demand for the league. Later on, wicketkeeper batter Azam Khan was picked up by Desert Vipers but he didn't get No-Objection Certificate (NOC).

ILT20 was launched last year and claimed to be one of the richest leagues after the Indian Premier League (IPL). The league has a huge investment from India.

Dubai Capitals, Abu Dhabi Knight Riders, MI Emirates, Sharjah Warriors Gulf Giants, and Desert Vipers competed in the inaugural edition of the ILT20. Giants, under the leadership of Colin Munro, beat Vipers in the final to lift the trophy on February 12 this year.
