Spanish club Real Madrid have contacted Bayern Munich to ask about the availability of the Canadian fullback Alphonso Davies.

Madrid, who are currently in the transfer market for a number of players, are now looking forward to strengthening the left-back position with the signing of Davies.

According to a Spanish journalist Jose Felix Diaz, the Los Blancos are worried about the left-back position, which is the reason they are going for the Canadian this summer.

Real Madrid have already travelled to Munich twice to speak to Davies' as they prepare the move.

The Whites have already signed the young left-back Fran Garcia from Rayo Vallecano with only an official announcement pending.

As per the Spanish journalist Josep Pedrerol, Madrid are ready to spend around €300M to €400M this summer.

With the departures of Karim Benzema, Marco Asensio, Mariano Diaz and Eden Hazard, Madrid are in the market to sign quality attackers to fulfil the gap in the squad.

Kai Havertz, Harry Kane, Joselu, and Jude Bellingham are among the players that are on the transfer list of The Whites.

Madrid’s interest in Havertz is very serious according to renowned journalist Fabrizio Romano.

As per Fabrizio, Real Madrid believes Havertz is the kind of creative player with skills that Madrid doesn't have in the current team.

“Carlo Ancelotti really likes Kai Havertz. He’s a big factor in Real Madrid’s interest. Chelsea are open to negotiate but they want big money,” Fabrizio said.

Madrid’s president Florentino Perez also “fell in love” with the player during his game against Madrid in the quarter-finals of the UEFA Champions League (UCL).

On Sunday (June 4), Benzema played his last game for the Los Blancos at the Santiago Bernabeu against Atheltic Bilbao.

The Frenchman had joined the club in 2009 and scored 354 goals, along with 165 assists, in 647 games for the Los Blancos.

Benzema is the current UEFA Golden Ball and Player of the Year, while also winning the 2022 Pichichi Trophy.

According to reports in Spanish media, the Frenchman will sign for Saudi Arabian club Al-Ittihad, after leaving Madrid, where he will €400m over two years
