Al-Nassr striker AbdulRahman Ghareeb talked about his teammate Cristiano Ronaldo’s attitude and mentality and how he does not like to lose even in training.
The Portuguese forward joined Saudi Pro League side Al-Nassr in January on a two-and-a-half-year deal. The move took place after the five-time Ballon d'Or winner left Manchester United via mutual agreement last November.
The 26-year-old winger talked about what Cristiano Ronaldo is like in training.
“Ronaldo's life is very serious. He gets angry if he loses in training despite having won many European championships and individual titles. This is in addition to his early attendance at training before many others," AbdulRahman said.
He also spoke about how much Ronaldo supports him and his teammates.
“I receive great support from Ronaldo. He stands by me greatly and he is the reason I attend training with great enthusiasm. I train with Cristiano, how can I not be excited?!" he added.
Earlier, Ronaldo said that he is enjoying his time in Saudi Arabia and expects other top players to join him in the league next season.
He bagged 14 goals in 19 games but it could not help his side claim the Saudi Pro League (SPL) title, with Al Nassr finishing second behind Al Ittihad.
"We have very good teams, very good Arab players, but the infrastructure - they need to improve a little bit more. Even the referees, the VAR system, should be a little quicker," Ronaldo said in an SPL interview.
"But I'm happy here, I want to continue here, I will continue here."
The 38-year-old also spoke about the difference in training routines in Saudi Arabia as compared to Europe.
"In Europe we train more in the morning and here we train in the afternoon, or night. When you start Ramadan, we train at 10 o'clock in the night. It was so strange," he added.
Since Ronaldo's arrival, several other top players, including Lionel Messi and Karim Benzema, have received offers from Saudi Arabia.
"If they are coming, big players and big names, young players, 'old players', they are very welcome," said Ronaldo.
"If that happens, the league will improve a little bit. Age is not important."
