Pakistan's explosive top-order batter Haider Ali played a blistering inning of 74 runs in 47 balls with the help of four sixes and four fours.

Batting first, Derbyshire scored 166 runs for the loss of eight wickets in 20 overs. Haider Ali was the top-scorer for the county side meanwhile Wayne Madsen scored 44 runs off 26 balls with the help of three fours and two sixes

Ben Mike took three important wickets with one of Haider’s in four overs as he conceded 39 runs. David Wiese, Jordan Thompson, Matt Revis and Jafer Chohan all took one wicket each for Yorkshire.

Yorkshire chased the target of 167 runs in just 18.2 overs as David Malan scored 81 runs in just 57 balls with the help of nine fours and three sixes. He scored his third consecutive fifty.

Adam Lyth and David Wiese also had a cameo of 31 and 30 runs to help Yorkshire win the match comfortably.

Zakk Chappell, Tom Wood and George Scrimshaw all took one wicket each for Derbyshire. Zaman Khan of Pakistan failed to take any wickets as he conceded 37 runs in just 3.2 overs.

Derbyshire are currently at number seven in the points table with four points as they only won two matches. Meanwhile, Yorkshire stands in the fifth position with six points in the north group.

Earlier, Pakistan’s Shaheen Afridi impressed with the bat in the T20 Blast as he scored 29 runs off 11 balls, hitting four sixes in the 16th over.

However, Afridi’s cameo went in vain as his side Notts Outlaws lost the game by 56 runs on Friday. Worcestershire Rapids scored 226 in their fourth match and restricted North Group rivals Notts Outlaws to 170.

The left-hander provided late excitement by blasting four sixes off Michael Bracewell but the team fell short and were bowled out in the 19th over.
